This Tuesday, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, announced on X that Aleksander Madry, the head of AI safety, has been reassigned during a recent internal restructuring. Altman noted that Madry is now focused on a new and significant research project centered on artificial intelligence reasoning. He also mentioned that executives Joaquin Quinonero Candela and Lilian Weng will take over the Preparedness team during this transition.
