At CES 2020, Samsung unveiled Ballie, a home robot concept that captured imaginations. By CES 2024, Samsung had added a projector to stream content onto various surfaces. Now, at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Samsung has announced the Ballie robot will be available in the U.S. this year.

During a demo, when asked which wine pairs better with steak, Ballie used foot presses to ask follow-up questions and ultimately provided a recommendation. This seamless interaction is enabled by advanced cameras and sensors.

Competitive Landscape

Samsung faces competition from Amazon's Astro, a home robot powered by Alexa, currently available by exclusive invitation at $1,600. LG has shown interest in home robotics but hasn’t confirmed release dates. Meanwhile, Apple is rumored to be entering the smart home market soon.
