Google Launches AI Photo Editing Features, Including Magic Eraser: Free for All Users Next Month, Limited to 10 Uses Per Month

Google has announced that it will roll out a variety of AI editing features to all Google Photos users, including Magic Editor, Photo Unblur, and Magic Eraser. Previously, these tools were only available to Google One subscribers. Starting May 15, 2023, all users can access these AI-powered image editing tools for free.

It's important to note that users can utilize these features up to 10 times per month at no cost. For those who need additional usage, switching to a Pixel phone or subscribing to a paid Google One plan will provide more access.

Magic Editor, which debuted last year with the Pixel 8/Pro series, uses generative AI to perform a range of photo editing tasks, such as repositioning subjects or altering the sky's hue.

Furthermore, Google is set to host its annual I/O developer conference on May 14, 2024. The event will primarily be streamed online, with a limited number of developers and guests attending in person. This year, the focus will be on artificial intelligence (AI) developments, with anticipated updates on the Gemini model as well as announcements regarding Android 15 and hardware updates like the Pixel 8a.
