HP's Omnibook Ultra: Introducing the First 2-in-1 AI PC with a 14-Inch Flip Screen

On Tuesday, HP introduced the OmniBook Ultra Flip, its first 2-in-1 AI PC featuring a 14-inch 3K OLED display. Boasting a haptic touchpad and powered by Intel's 200V Core Ultra processors with a dedicated AI engine, this laptop is designed for optimal performance. The device will receive an update with Microsoft’s Copilot+ capabilities starting in late November.

The OmniBook Ultra Flip features a crisp 2,880 x 1,800 touch-sensitive OLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz and an impressive 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. With a slim profile of only 0.59 inches (15mm) and a weight of 2.97 lbs (1.35kg), it’s highly portable. Storage options begin at 512GB, with additional choices for 1TB and 2TB. The standard RAM is 16GB, and high-end configurations can be upgraded to 32GB. The device offers an impressive battery life of up to 20 hours and can fast-charge to 50 percent in just 45 minutes using the included 65W USB-C adapter. Its Intel AI processor variants range from the Ultra 5 226V to the Ultra 9 288V.

Equipped with a 9MP camera, the OmniBook Ultra Flip features hardware-level low-light adjustments and Auto Switch HDR, which automatically activates HDR based on lighting conditions. Utilizing the Intel chip’s neural processing unit, the built-in AI offers hands-free gesture controls for scrolling, volume adjustment, and media playback. The PC also includes security features that automatically lock when you leave and wake when you return.

Once the Copilot+ update for Intel PCs is released, users can access advanced features such as AI image generation, editing tools, live captions, Windows Studio effects, and Recall.

The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-inch is now available on HP’s website starting at $1,450.
