ArenaX Labs Secures $6 Million Funding to Enhance AI Arena Experience

ArenaX Labs, the creators of AI Arena, has successfully raised $6 million in its latest funding round. This investment will be utilized to expand its PvP platform fighter and develop additional titles. The company’s mission is to leverage gaming to educate players on understanding and interacting with artificial intelligence (AI).

AI Arena enables users to train their AI-powered characters for battles, with outcomes influenced by the player’s training skills. Set for beta launch early this year, the game will be free-to-play and accessible via browsers. A web3 version is also in development, allowing users to compete for rewards. The primary goal of the game is to impart knowledge about AI functionality and learning processes.

“Our core belief is in democratization,” said Wei Xie, co-founder of ArenaX Labs. “AI is poised to become a transformative technology, yet many lack a true understanding of it. Most people's introduction to AI comes through platforms like ChatGPT or Midjourney, which are merely interfaces. Our aim is to provide a deeper educational experience through engaging gameplay.”

The funding round was led by Framework Ventures, with participation from SevenX Ventures, FunPlus/Xterio, and Moore Strategic Ventures. Framework co-founder Michael Anderson noted, “Currently, most consumers view AI as a novelty at a superficial level. The ArenaX team is changing this perspective by creating products that encourage meaningful interaction and learning about AI through play.”

Brandon Da Silva, CEO and co-founder of ArenaX, emphasized the importance of AI ownership within AI Arena. “We aim to create opportunities for talented individuals to monetize their AI skills. This fosters a competitive environment where researchers can build and showcase their models, proving their capabilities through our game.”

AI Arena is now open for pre-registration, with plans for a beta launch on the Arbitrum mainnet soon.
