Hyundai Reveals AI-Powered Vision for Future Smart City

Hyundai Motor Group unveiled its vision for a futuristic smart city in South Korea at the World Smart City Expo 2024 (WSCE), held at the KINTEX exhibition center in Goyang. This marked the first year the auto manufacturer participated in this event, which serves as a prominent platform for innovative technologies and solutions for smart cities. Hyundai's display, titled "Inspiring Human Progress," showcased the seamless integration of space, mobility, and energy in a future city.

The 9,600-square-foot exhibition hall was divided into three themes: Transportation, Logistics and Robotics, and Energy and Infrastructure. Hyundai presented its DICE personal mobility platform, offering customized services through artificial intelligence, along with the SA-2 eVTOL and the SPACE-Mobility system in the Transportation Zone. The City Pod and Parking Robot solutions were highlighted in the Logistics and Robotics Zone, demonstrating innovative mobility and logistical capabilities.

Moreover, Hyundai featured technology like Easy Swap for versatile vehicle transformations and showcased robot dog Spot and the DAL-e delivery robot in action. The Energy and Infrastructure Zone integrated natural elements with green spaces above ground and underground infrastructure to support Hyundai's advanced technological solutions. Post-WSCE, Hyundai aims to develop a smart city platform, although a specific timeline for its realization has not been disclosed.
