Apple's Intelligence Feature Rolls Out in Phases; Major Update Set for Next Year

The Apple WWDC 2024 Developer Conference successfully concluded on June 17, with the keynote address highlighting the company's future vision. During the presentation, Apple unveiled a new artificial intelligence service called "Apple Intelligence," aimed at competing with rivals like Microsoft's Copilot. While the event showcased many exciting features, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that some functionalities are expected to be delayed until 2025.

Gurman, known for his reliable sources and accurate predictions regarding WWDC 2024, suggests that the rollout of "Apple Intelligence" may take longer than anticipated. He believes Apple is focusing on thorough testing and improvements, particularly in supporting languages beyond American English, before launching their AI products.

The official launch of "Apple Intelligence" is anticipated in the fall of 2024, but it will not include all the features presented during WWDC 2024. The initial version will be labeled as a "preview," indicating it is still in development. Key functionalities expected to be absent include Siri's comprehension of device content, semantic indexing, and the ability for AI to control devices, which are projected to be rolled out in 2025.

Nonetheless, Gurman notes that "Apple Intelligence," set to debut in fall 2024, will introduce several intriguing features. These include a revamped Siri user interface, a "Typed Siri" function that allows users to interact with Siri via keyboard, and improved understanding of voice messages with minor errors.
