Recently, OpenAI launched the ChatGPT application for Windows, following the release of its macOS version. Currently, the app is available for testing exclusively for paid ChatGPT subscribers.
The Windows version allows users to engage in conversations with the AI within a dedicated window. With the “Alt + Space” shortcut, users can quickly launch the application. Additionally, the app supports file and photo uploads and includes a preview of the o1 model with advanced reasoning capabilities. However, the “Advanced Voice Mode” feature is not yet available.
At this time, the application is limited to ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Edu subscribers, but OpenAI intends to make it accessible to all users later this year.
