While major AI model providers like Adobe and Meta enhance their AI image generation tools, dedicated startups are also innovating to remain competitive.
Today, Ideogram, a Toronto-based startup founded by former Google Brain researchers, unveiled a new Pro subscription tier aimed at its “most active” and “professional creators.”
The Pro plan is priced at $48 per month when billed annually ($60 if billed monthly), joining Ideogram's existing Free, Basic ($7/month annually), and Plus ($16/month annually) tiers.
Similar to the Plus plan, the Pro plan allows subscribers to keep their creations private and upload images for remixing. However, it offers significant enhancements: subscribers can submit up to 3,000 text prompts for expedited image generation, producing up to 12,000 images monthly in under 15 seconds per batch of four. In contrast, the lower tiers permit zero, 400, and 1,000 fast generation prompts, respectively.
Notably, Ideogram plans to introduce bulk prompt uploads in CSV format. This feature will enable users to enter multiple prompts at once, streamlining the image generation process significantly.
It's important to note that imagery created with Ideogram does not provide indemnification for enterprises, a feature offered by competitors like OpenAI and Adobe. As such, users concerned about copyright issues may hesitate to use Ideogram for commercial projects like advertising or marketing. However, Ideogram's terms of service indicate it allows for commercial usage. Additionally, it excels in generating stylized text and typography within images—capabilities that are often inconsistent in rival AI image generators.
Users can sign up for the Ideogram Pro plan starting today.
