In an exciting announcement, the company revealed that Chrome will soon receive three innovative features designed to harness artificial intelligence for streamlined tab organization, customizable theming, and, most importantly, assistance with drafting content in any text field across the web.

AI-Powered Writing Assistance

Struggling to communicate effectively online? This upcoming feature may be the answer you need. Next month, Chrome will roll out an experimental AI-driven tool aimed at helping users create polished content wherever they encounter text fields.

Accessing this feature is straightforward—simply right-click on any text box and choose "Help me write." Enter a few keywords, and Chrome’s AI will kickstart your writing process. This tool can significantly enhance your ability to draft articulate emails, RSVPs, or formal queries online. With AI-generated text at your fingertips without navigating away from the site, you can easily amplify your online communication. While integrating AI text into applications like Microsoft Word or Google Docs is beneficial, bringing it to any text entry point on the web elevates the experience further.

Smart Tabs and Themes

In addition to writing assistance, Chrome will harness AI to improve tab management. Currently, users can group tabs, but this can sometimes feel tedious. To automate this process, Chrome will introduce a smart tab organization feature that suggests and creates tab groups based on your open tabs. Whether you’re researching for an essay or comparing prices across different sites, simply right-click on a tab and select "Organize Similar Tabs," and Chrome will handle the rest. Google even claims this feature can propose names and emojis for your new groups, making it easy to find them when needed.

Additionally, you can now personalize your browsing experience with AI. Following the launch of generative AI wallpapers for Pixel devices last year, Chrome now lets users create custom themes without requiring AI expertise. Navigate to the Customize Chrome side panel, click "Change theme," and select "Create with AI." You can choose a subject, mood, visual style, and color, and Chrome will generate a unique theme tailored to your preferences.
